With YRCP I researched ways to use solar power., facilitated anti-tobacco events, and assisted in researching green house ideas.  I currently work as a Cancer Researcher.  My skills from YRCP also helped me with developing a medical herb garden at Tuskegee University.  YRCP was an excellent program that allowed for me to grow and develop in a safe environment after school. YRCP has truly helped me to become a life long learner and will be eternally grateful for the experience I gained through the program.

DONYELLE PINCKNEY (2010)

Howard University Business Administration Finance Major  YRCP helped me tackle my fears of public speaking. In order to start the Risers and Strivers Group, I had to speak to the principal of our school. I often felt inferior to those I presumed to be in power. The conversation with the principal taught me how to speak to people in charge and bring about change. Currently, I am a manager and often have to speak to the VP and President of the company. YRCP taught me how to be a leader.
