We Could Have Cared Less . . . . But We Decided to Care More!!
Youth today face many health-related challenges including obesity, youth violence, and substance use. YRCP youth programs use STEM activities and participatory action research (PAR), training young people how to become agents of change in their communities.
To address the challenges youth face in their communities participants in the Young Researchers Community Project (YRCP) meet after school and organize themselves into action research committees such as, HEALTH, NUTRITION, ENVIRONMENT, FITNESS, and/or ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Welcome to YRCP
The Young Researchers Community Project started back in 2002 when a group of high school age youth decided to educate the adults in their families and in their communities about how to reduce disparities in health.
